Art installations

Artists, architects, and Rose Parade float makers created site-specific art installations commissioned for Arroyo Seco Weekend - just for you. Alongside several Pasadena-based arts organizations we developed projects that are thought-provoking, beautiful, and engaging.

Record Store

Stop by our air conditioned vinyl record store to browse through records by the artists playing Arroyo Seco Weekend! We also have over 10,000 used records in all genres you can sift through including many rarities. We'll hold all your purchases until the end of the night/weekend so you don't have to worry about them while you enjoy the music.

Festival Merchandise

Make sure to stop by the Arroyo Seco Weekend merchandise tent! Pick up official festival goods as well as items from the artists and bands. Located between The Sycamore and The Oaks stages. Open from doors until the last note is sung.


Kidspace children's museum

Pasadena’s place for “free range learning” sets up a magical musical space for the little ones, complete with an Instrument Petting Zoo, photo booth, button making, and an instrument make and take. Plus, there is an early childhood space for new parents to bring their tiniest tots.


The mission of Kidspace Children's Museum is to nurture the potential of all children through kid-driven experiences, inspiring them to become joyful, active learners.


Los Angeles River Rover

An all-ages education on the natural past, concrete present and community-centered future of the LA River watershed, as taught by Friends of the Los Angeles River (FOLAR), a non-profit organization.


Founded in 1986 by artist/activist Lewis McAdams, FOLAR is a 501c3 nonprofit whose mission is to ensure a publicly accessible and ecologically sustainable Los Angeles River by inspiring River stewardship through community engagement, education, advocacy and thought leadership.

Muir Ranch of John Muir High School

Enjoy the efforts of the next generation of urban agriculturalist operating the Muir Ranch urban farm at Pasadena’s John Muir High School. Their student-cultivated flower bouquets provide rich accents of color across the rolling green lawns of Arroyo Seco.


Muir Ranch is a 3.5-acre biodynamic urban teaching farm and teen jobs program at John Muir High School in Pasadena, California.


Spectators become makers as they exercise their creativity on craft projects suitable for adults and youngsters. Attendees can unleash their inner artist at this open studio operated by Sarah Scheideman, founder of Coachella Valley Art Scene.


Cultivating a creative community using art advocacy as a platform to safely express, educate, empower and engage the Coachella Valley.


SoCal’s oldest independent bookstore stocks the “shelves” of these models designed and built by students and teaching artists from Pasadena’s Side Street Projects in the fashion of some of Pasadena’s most iconic architectural styles.


Side Street Projects is an entirely mobile artist-run organization that gives artists of all ages the ability and the means to support their creative endeavors.


Vroman's Bookstore, Southern California’s oldest and largest independent bookstore, is a Pasadena institution, a literary landmark, a community center and a wonderful tradition.

Interactive Scent Lab

Nestled inside Tolkin's Dunnage Balls and done in collaboration with Armory Center for the Arts, fragrance designer Andre’ Barnwell will host a hands-on, interactive scent lab throughout the day, referencing the ancient perfume trade that catalyzed cross-cultural movement throughout the history of human civilization.


Altadena resident Andre Barnwell’ is a fragrance designer and branding instructor at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Downtown Los Angeles.
